Uche Obodoekwe
(Managing Director)

Mr. Obodoekwe is the Founder of the firm and De-Canon’s Managing Director since inception. He is the Principal Strategist and Chief Investment Officer. He brings twenty years investment experience to his current position.

Prior to 1990, he served as Head of Corporate Finance and Treasury Division, at Wintrust Limited (A member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Lagos) Head of Research and Investment Strategy at International Finance and General Business Development Incorporated, Houston, Texas USA.

He was a former Chief Accountant and Commercial Manager, Plateau State Transport Corporation, Jos during his 1980 National Youth Service Corps. Mr. Obodoekwe graduated from Texas Southern University School of Business Administration, Houston and 1979 class of Master of Business Administration in Finance from Priarie-View A & M University of Texas, Prairie-View Campus, Texas.

He is a Chartered Stockbroker, and a member of many other financial organisations
as well as a director in many private companies. He has attended numerous Investment Banking courses within and outside Nigeria. He is happily married and blessed with a child.

MR. RALPH J. OKPON
(Group Head, Public Sector and Marketing)
A Financial Analyst, Economist and Investment Banker of repute. He studied in Houston Texas in USA, graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Banking/Finance and Economics.

He also holds a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Management.
Before joining the company, he had distinguished careers with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Afribank Plc, ICON Ltd. (Merchant Bankers). He was a formative Assistant General Manager at Century Merchant Bank Ltd.

He resigned from Century to join hands with other notable professionals to establish Mayfair Building Society Limited, a mortgage Banking Institution and was its Pioneer Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer. He also served from 1996 as the Managing Consultant with Hismann Consulting Group. He is married with children.
MR. SEBASTINE IHEAKAM
(Head, Capital Market Group)
Mr. Iheakam is the Head of Capital Market Group. Prior to joining De-Canon Investment Limited, Mr. Iheakam was a Senior Credit and Investment Officer with Pivot Finance and Investment Limited.

He has a Higher National Diploma in Finance (Upper Credit) from the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, Imo State and later obtained a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.

He is an Associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management. Mr. Iheakam, a junior partner in the company has attended many specialised Investment Banking courses Abroad and within. He is happily married with children.
